Project SYNCERE Summer Camp

As an Engineering Program Facilitator with Project SYNCERE I developed and co-taught a 6 week long Summer STEM Camp for 26 high school students from the Chicago area. During this camp we had 3 different 2-week long modules which were completed by the students. The first was a bridge design and construction for students to build the most efficient bridge structure in terms of how much weight it could hold before critical failure. The second was a water bottle rocket module for students to construct rockets out of 2L soda bottles and to then study the flight trajectories of them when pressurized and released. The third was a unit on wearable electronics during which students constructed their own electric circuits that were incorporated into articles of clothing or accessories.
