Handmade Wooden Rings
My wooden rings are handcrafted using a fabrication process called bentwood lamination. The bentwood technique process uses thin strips of wood veneer that are steamed in order to be pliable enough to bend into the ring shape. Many other wood rings available are cut directly from stock lumber which leaves them vulnerable to breaking along the weakest points of the endgrain. Bentwood lamination eliminates the weak endgrain by having the strips bent around themselves multiple times in the direction of the grain which results in an impressively strong wood ring.
All of my rings are sanded and polished by hand then coated with multiple layers of a hard durable waterproof finish. The finish is then taken through several steps of sanding in order to eliminate any fine scratches, they are finally buffed and waxed to a durable shine.
